At last the winter has relented and we are able to use the gallop although we still have snowdrifts on the farm.

Racing resumes today at Chepstow with Heluvagood in the 2m 3f handicap hurdle. He has been working very well recently and I am hoping he will improve on his last run at Wincanton, where the third horse won its next two races.

On Saturday we are obliged to run Ut Majeur Aulmes and Exmoor Mist in the same 2m handicap chase at Newbury. There is a shortage over the next month of 2m handicap chases in south of England within the rating band of 110-130.

Next week we have runners at Taunton, Wincanton and Newton Abbot, they include Dancing Shadow, Bolving and Run to Milan amongst others.
