River Bray spreadeagled the field at Newton Abbot today in the opening novice hurdle. He made all under a penalty and won comfortably by six lengths confirming  the promise he showed at Wincanton in February. The ground was plenty quick enough for him and we will have to see how he is before deciding plans for him. Eventually I could see him chasing as he is a superb jumper.

Get Wishing is unlikely to run at Chepstow on Monday as the ground has firmed up.

We have two flat handicappers to run through the summer. Howardian Hills should be ready mid may and Give em a clump who will ready soon after, the latter was consistent handicapper for David Evans keeping an OR around the low to mid 60’s for over a year. There are shares available in both horses for very reasonable money. Howardian Hills may well run in Jersey which should be an experience.
