Minnie Escape finally gave a performance on the racecourse that reflected her ability at home and an accomplished performance when winning easily at Chepstow on Tuesday. This well bred Getaway mare has had major problems at home which has involved two lengthy operations for a bone cyst in her shoulder at Equine Counties Equine Hospital. She produced two reasonable performances in bumpers as a prelude to falling on her first run over hurdles at Fontwell which seriously affected er confidence in jumping. The brush hurdles at Southwell did her confidence no good and it has been a long time aided by some forceful rides from James Best to get her hurdling anywhere near the required standard. She will reappear at Chepstow next week subject to her recovering from her exertions.

River Bray runs back over fences tomorrow at Uttoxeter in a beginners chase and hopefully will gain some confidence over fences, he then will be aimed at novice handicap chases, the first being at Wincanton in three weeks time.
