Exmoor Mist runs today in the Macer Gifford 2m handicap chase at Huntingdon, it would be a race I would love to win as I worked for Macer Gifford on his family farm for three years in the early 70’s and I became firm friends with the family. Macer was a top national hunt jockey and was my best man at my wedding. He sadly died of motor neurone disease at a young age.

I have aimed Exmoor Mist at this race for some time but the ground would need to be softer to give him a realistic chance.

Our last few runners have run well, Sweet Adare ran well at Aintree where she was the only one to carry a penalty on too sharp a track and with the ground too quick.

Heluvagood ran a cracking race at Chepstow finishing 3/18 giving lumps of weight away to the front two and only being beaten 4 lengths. He now goes back over fences possibly at Exeter on 14th November.

Runners for the week include Dancing Shadow Exeter Tuesday(the ground may be an issue here), Get Wishing Wednesday at Chepstow, Admiral Secret Kelso on Saturday and River Bray Sandown on Sunday.
