Howardian Hills returns to Leicester this evening on suitably quick ground. He had his first run for the yard last season at Leicester where he ran very poorly. I put this performance on several hours of rain that fell just prior to the race, it seems that there is no chance of that happening again in the current heatwave and it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

We have started to bring in some of the winter horses as the best of grass has gone and the flies are really bad.

I am hoping to run Darloa on Sunday at Uttoxeter if he avoids being balloted out, yjjhe will run over hurdles in the short term and will only go back over fences once he recovers his form.
