Admirals Secret produced his best ever performance at Warwick in the two and a half mile Handicap Chase when coming with a late run to finish a close third only being beaten by one and a half lengths. He had an interrupted preparation since his Ludlow win before Christmas due to problems with his feet and I feel without this he would have been even closer. All roads now lead to Cheltenham where he will entered in the 2.5 Handicap Chase on the Thursday and the 3 miler on the 1st day. He is looking every inch a threee mile chaser and I think we should get him going over this extended trip while he is in his prime.
Hartnoll Hero runs tomorrow in the NH Flat Race at Hereford and he appears to have every chance. It is likely that both Run to Milan and Exmoor Express will go to Fakenham on Friday. The latter did run on Sunday at Exeter only to have a freak unseat half way round which resulted with the jockey hurtling through the air like a long projectile and crashing back through the wing towards the horse! The whole episode could not be repeated no matter how many times it is tried! It is reported that the horse ran out, but he certainly did not.
