Mahler’s First has his second run over hurdles in the 2m 7f maiden hurdle at Chepstow tomorrow. He is a big striking horse who appears to be improving all the time, his first run over hurdles was full of promise when he finished fourth at Exeter.

Ut Majeur Aulmes runs at Taunton on Saturday in the 2m handicap chase. In my view he is still too high in the weights to win again and Taunton will not necessarily suit him, but we have to keep running him to convince the handicapper that he is too high.

We have four exciting young bumper horses within a few weeks of running, Shutscombe Hill by Arvico who has been working well at home, two Getaway fillies, Sweet Adare a lovely well bred filly and Minnie Escape who will run early February out of the game mare Minnie Hill the winner of several hurdle races for us. The fourth bumper horse is an unnamed Mahler gelding closely related to Requin.
