We have had three runners over the last three days, two at Chepstow and one at Newton Abbot.
Dancing Shadow put in one of his best performances of his long career when going under by a short head in the veterans chase at Chepstow on Friday. He made all and set a good gallop over the three miles and jumped like a stag, he only conceded on the last stride and was caught by both Present Man and Crosspark in a thrilling finish. Present Man has won two Badger Beer chases at Wincanton and many other races while Crosspark has won the Eider Chase at Newcastle and finished second in the Scottish National.
River Bray finished 5th in the 2m handicap hurdle on the Saturday which proved to be a very competitive affair. His jockey reported that the ground was far too quick for him so hopefully when winter rain arrives we will find a suitable contest.
Sweet Adare ran in her first chase at Newton Abbot yesterday in very competitive novice chase with four very highly rated horses, she jumped very well and was doing her best work at the end so I am sure there is more to come from this exciting mare.
Our next runners may well be Bolving on Saturday at Stratford(ground dependant) and possibly Atjima at Fontwell on the 21st October.
