The new National Hunt season starts today and we run Heluvagood in the novices handicap chase over 2m 6f at Uttoxeter, he has schooled very well over fences and seems a natural but I’m sure like most horses he will need his first run over the larger obstacles. The better ground should suit him and he has been in top form over hurdles so he may run better than I’m suggesting.

Next week we have three runners, Admirals Secret goes for the hat trick at Exeter on Tuesday, this time it’s over 2m 3f which may stretch his stamina but it is worth trying on this better ground. Get Wishing runs at Newton Abbot on Wednesday where hopefully the ground will suit and Exmoor Mist has been entered at Worcester on Thursday in an attempt to follow up his Taunton win, the ground is a concern and if it quickens up too much due to the sunny weather then he will not run.
