The tempo has increased at Shutscombe Farm with the early runners starting their quick work. Dancing Shadow is in good form and may run at Uttoxeter on Friday 25 September in a 3 mile handicap chase. It will be too short for him, but will sharpen him up for two races at his favourite Exeter track, the second of which in early December is over 3 miles 6 furlongs. River Bray is progressing well and is on target for his first race of the season at Chepstow in early October, while Admiral Secret is also in great form and may run at the end of October if the ground is right. All these horses can be seen galloping in the videos below which were taken using our new headcam.
The bumper horses who are stepping up in work include Atjima (a full sister to Haldon Hill) who is working extremely well and can also be seen in one of the videos below working with Dancing Shadow. She should have her first outing one day in October. Hartnoll Hero and Exmoor Express have also impressed and will each have a run this autumn. Hartnoll Hero is a very well bred 4 year old by Sageburg while Exmoor Express is a very athletic 4 year old by the up and coming stallion Sans Frontieres.
