Minnie Escape won in fine style at Stratford today and continued the improved level of performance that she showed last season. It was all the more surprising as after her last race before the first lockdown she was found to have a stress fracture in her off hind cannon bone which required pinning. This meant she missed most of her summer turnout and she only had a few weeks at the back end. It appeared to screw together well and she confirmed our vet’s prediction that she would be ready to run again in November.
This was the good news for the day as our other runner Atjima loaded onto the lorry sound this morning but came off at Stratford lame! Hopefully this is no more than a muscle strain.
Sweet Adare may go to Bangor on Wednesday or if not will wait for Wincanton on 19 November. We are hoping to run River Bray at Taunton on Thursday providing the ground is safe.
